Katrina Novak joined the firm in July 2013. Ms. Novak represents a variety of entertainment clients, including production companies, agencies, artists, writers, actors and television personalities in litigation and transactional matters.
Ms. Novak completed dual undergraduate degrees at Michigan State University as an Honors College student, and participated in the Professorial Assistantship scholarship program awarded to students in the top 1% academically of college freshmen nationwide. Ms. Novak graduated from the two-year accelerated SCALE program at Southwestern Law School with the Public Service distinction for pro bono work. While at Southwestern, Ms. Novak acted as President of the Animal Law Society and interned with the Orange County Public Defender and an employment and class action litigation firm.
Ms. Novak is currently Secretary for the California Society of Entertainment Lawyers, a non-profit organization that advocates for artists' rights which she helped to co-found. As part of CSEL, Ms. Novak has participated in drafting Ninth Circuit amicus briefs regarding copyright issues and advocating for amendment to California's Anti-SLAPP law. Ms. Novak is also a member of the Beverly Hills Bar Association.
Ms. Novak was selected as a SuperLawyers Rising Star and named in the Los Angeles Magazine Top Women Attorneys in Southern California in 2016 and 2017.
